Davy and Goliath (Oil on Canvas, 24" x 20") $250      SOLD
Davey and Goliath was a series created by Art Clokey (who would later create Gumby and Pokey) for the United Lutheran Church in the early 1960’s.  The figures were animated in stop motion/claymation.  I grew up watching Davey and Goliath. I was fascinated and haunted by these little clay figures and the world they lived in.  I still am.

The Nutty Professor (Acrylic on Canvas, 24" x 36")    SOLD
Jerry Lewis was one of my comedy heroes.  He is shown here as Professor Julius Kelp in his masterpiece film, The Nutty Professor.  Jerry’s comedy and the very deliberate look and style of his films have been foundational building blocks of my artistic aesthetic.  I was so very lucky to have met Jerry, one evening a few years ago, right here in the Dougherty Arts Center.

Star Trek Series: Be Smart, Be Brave (Acrylic on Canvas, 20" x 20") $500    SOLD     Prints Available from $120
The first episode of the television show Star Trek was broadcast on my 9th birthday, September 8th, 1966. It instantly became my favorite show.  I have, since then, and sometimes secretly, kept Capt. James T. Kirk in a special place in my mind as an example of the kind of man I’d like to be.  Somewhere along the way, I understood that a disciplined but open mind was a good and necessary companion to courage and a sense of adventure.  I freely admit it: Kirk and Spock are important to me.
